RetroMac is an independent tribute to the computers, interfaces and games many of us grew up with. Made with gratitude to the designers, artists and programmers behind the originals.

Not affiliated

RetroMac is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by or officially connected to Apple Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Mozilla Foundation, Access Co. (BeOS), id Software / ZeniMax, Apogee Software / 3D Realms, or any other rights holder. Apple, Mac, macOS, Mac OS, NeXTSTEP, Microsoft, Windows, BeOS, DOOM, Quake, Wolfenstein and Commander Keen are trademarks of their respective owners. These names are used descriptively only, to identify the era and visual style a theme refers to.

No original system assets

RetroMac contains no operating system code, ROMs, disk images, icons or sounds from the original systems. All themes are original recreations made for RetroMac, inspired by the look and feel of their era.

Games

RetroMac does not distribute commercial game data. Games run on open-source engine ports released by their original authors under the GPL. Game data is limited to the freely redistributable shareware/demo releases, or must be supplied by the user from a copy they legally own.

RetroMac is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. You use it at your own risk.
